South Tyrol is a paradise for all cycling enthusiasts. Numerous cycle paths invite you to explore the South Tyrolean landscape. Hop on your bike and explore Val Passiria/Passeiertal. An idyllic cycle path leads along the Passirio/Passer river to St. Leonhard in Passeier, where we recommend a detour to the MuseumPasseier, located at the Sandwirt, the birthplace of Tyrolean freedom fighter Andreas Hofer. One of the most popular cycling routes is the Via Claudia Augusta, which leads through meadows and forests and past the various cultural treasures scattered throughout Val Venosta/Vinschgau and on through the Adige Valley to Bolzano. Fantastic mountain bike trails take you to alpine pastures and huts, or you can explore South Tyrol’s mountain passes by bike, such as the Mendel Pass to Lake Kaltern, the Gampen Pass or the Jaufen Pass.
