Please note that in the period from 27 December to 5 January, we can only accept room bookings for a minimum stay of 6 nights.

Merano lies sheltered in its basin, surrounded by the mountains of the Merano region. Hotel Wessobrunn stands in Gratsch above Merano, in a former monastery with 4,000 m² of Mediterranean garden – palms and cacti in the garden, snow on the slopes above.

Five courses, herbs from our own garden
A five-course menu every evening with South Tyrolean and Mediterranean dishes, vegetarian options included. The herbs come from our own herb garden, the fruit from our own orchard, the Chardonnay Wessobrunn from the vines right in front of the hotel. On 31 December it becomes the New Year's Eve gala dinner.

Merano Christmas Market on the spa promenade
From the end of November to the beginning of January, around 80 stalls line the spa promenade: mulled wine, regional treats, creative gift ideas and traditional crafts. The market sits right by the water, beneath the trees of the promenade.

The Merano 2000 ski area offers 40 varied kilometres of slopes with panoramic views, plus groomed winter hiking trails. If you prefer a gentler pace, stay down in the valley: palms and cacti grow in the hotel garden while the snow lies up above.
